Cheyenne's Page

Hi, my name is Cheyenne. I am 10 years old and I live with my mom here at Turning Point. We have a lot of dogs,
and we have chickens too! We have a lot of fun
going to dog shows together but they are usually really far away and I have to get up really early ... But we always stop at Starbuck's, so
it's OK.
I love when we take them out at night and play with them in the yard. That's the BEST.
Poppi is my dog. She is a little dorky
sometimes but we still love her. She is my best friend. We are going to breed her soon, to a black dog, but mom says we are going
to have chocolate puppies too, not sure how that all works but OK. Mom says I can stay up and help deliver them.
I love all our dogs. PJ is one of our new dogs but she likes to cuddle with me on the couch when I get up in the
morning. I get to be the "bird girl" when we go and train for the hunt tests, and I get to throw bumpers for Kim and Cathy and Ginger
and Mom. I have my own mud boots when we go and train on the water.
My chickens are Silkies ... they're really nice and don't peck at me.

This is my Miss Fluff ... we're SO proud of her!
Also ...
Raisin got an "A" (she is the barred rock hen that Ginger got me)
Mr. Roo got second place in his class of 4, and an "A"

We went to the Dekalb County 4-H Fair on the 2nd of August, 2008. Miss Fluff won her class, and then she
won Champion Hen. Then she won Grand Champion Bantam, THEN she won GRAND CHAMPION OVERALL. There were 180 birds that competed
and she beat them all!!
Mom says we are going to a few more shows this fall to see what she can do with bigger competition. I just know
that she is a good hen, and one of my good friends.
Note: To give you a DOG's eye view ... she took Winners, BOB, Group One and BIS! Pretty good for a
2 lb fuzz ball!
Judge
told everyone in the Overall class that she was the best bird in the 40 years of judging and showing chickens that he had the privilege of
laying his hands on ...

This is me and Stone. We were Reserve Winners at the Wheaton show.
Mom was showing another dog, so I had to take Stone back in ... I go to a lot of dog shows with my mom, and she lets me show. I like when my
dog wins!!

Kris, Me, Stone, Poppi and Chief at my mom's
friend Liz's house. This was after the Huron River
dog show and we were all hanging out before we
went back home

Me and Poppi at the Huron River Specialty show.
This was a really big class, and we got pulled for the cut.

This is me and Poppi at the 2006 Labrador Nationals. This was our first show
together
and we got 2nd in Sweeps (and won $24) and 3rd in regular class.

This is me and Sedona in the Rock Island Veterans class. We won!!!
Mom showed Sedona in the group and she got 4th!!!

Mr. Roo and Miss Fluff, Snowball and Little Head, all came from Brenda Gambill in Paradise, Texas.
Brenda is a Silkie breeder and a member of the ASBC, APA and the ABA.
Silkies are little chickens ranging in size to about the 2 lb mark.
These are all going to the fair with me in a couple of weeks!
